About Bookis
Bookis is an independent publisher of illustrated books.
We make books you want to spend time with: to study an illustration, explore an unexpected question, solve a puzzle or show a favourite page to someone close to you.
Our books can explore imagined worlds or practical skills for everyday life. We bring the same care to both: clear writing, expressive illustrations and attention to what you take away from each page.
From the first idea to the finished book
Each Bookis series has its own character and authors. We develop the text, illustrations and design together: a drawing helps you follow a story, a diagram explains a difficult idea, and an activity lets you try it for yourself.
We check facts against sources, edit our texts and plan the pages so that our books are a pleasure to read, explore and give.
Find your book
Take a look inside our books: explore the illustrations, read a few pages and choose your next book for yourself or as a gift.
