What we collect and why

Gift sign-up. When you request a gift, we collect your name and email address, the date and time of your consent and the page you signed up on. We use them to send you the gift, to confirm your address (double opt-in) and, if you agreed, to send occasional news about our books. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.

Visiting the site. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser data to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across sites.

Links to books. Links to books go through our own redirect service, which records the date, the link and your country (derived from the IP address, which is not stored) to send you to the Amazon store of your country.

Contact form. When you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email. We use them only to reply to you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and do not add you to any newsletter.

Service providers

• SendPulse — sending emails, delivering contact form messages and storing the subscriber list.
• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery and visit statistics.

Both process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.

How long we keep data

Subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Write to info@bookis.top.
